It feels like so long that I sent the last update, that I almost forgot what has happened recently, then the image of an amazing overhead kick came to mind. The best ever? Not for me. Pele scored an even better effort against Germany and bear in mind that he did it with a broken rib (+ it can't have been easy preparing for the game on those pow pitches or playing with Michael Caine at the back).
Despite 14 games played in Week 27, the massive scores didn't quite materialise as some of these games were very hard to call. I certainly didn't expect Blackpool to beat Spurs, Wigan to draw at Liverpool or the Hammers to come back from 3 down at WBA. But it still didn't stop our weekly winner Brian York from posting an excellent 257 for this week's £50. Another high scorer was Marie Stone who shoots right into contention in 5th place after scoring 250.
For the record, Newcastle scored the quickest goal in their 2-0 win at Birmingham. 60 pts were available here, but only 11 players took advantage - a great call by all of you! Atb, Ciro
ps - Week 27 was also the 3rd round of the predictions Cup, but I'll email all of you left in separately
