Week 15: Ciro and Crouchy get cuddly

Not much change at the top of the table, though just about every one of his pursuers have taken a bite out of Nick's lead. Best of those is Matt Crole-Rees, whose 233 pts lift him into the top 10. 14 people managed 200+ this week - the best of those was Robin Bullock, whose 271 pts was not bonus assisted - so a very well deserved £50 to you Sir. Then again, but for him, 9 year old Matthew Taylor would have won. Apparently he'll be really upset...It's his dream to win a week - he'll go to bed tonight without eating - a few tears no doubt - I hope you're happy!

Bonus Team: Man City, 56 seconds v Wigan. Not much doubt this week and I have to take my hat off to a lot of you this week. City were the most popular choice this week and 73 of you got the 52 bonus pts available (Man Utd were next popular with 48). I think those of you who got these pts owe a debt of thanks to the unfortunate Titus Bramble. If you would like to thank him in person, you can drop him an email at titusbramble@howthef*ckdidieverbecomeapremiershipfootballer.com

No, I wasn't standing on a box: As you can see, I met Crouchy last week and I have to say that, whoever you support, you will never meet a nicer footballer (apart from the ex-pros who play this game of course!) I really hope he gets a regular game soon. If any of you have got some football related pix, feel free to send them to me - this is your blog after all! atb, Ciro

Week 14: At least I can go on holiday next June...

Well, on paper, this threatened to be big scoring week for all of us, but a couple of scores caught most of us out. One of you (I don't know who but well done!) predicted a 1-0 win for Bolton. The other 486 of us did not! And last night's game at Blackwood doubtless also dented a few promising scores. Everton matched Pompey's 7 goal feat, so that won;t have yielded many pts either. Nevertheless, Eddy Edwards takes this week's £50 with a good score of 236, one of 13 players to top the 200pt barrier. He moves upto 4th in the Overall table, but Nick Scraggs holds onto top spot, although, rather like Benny Hill, he's now being chased by a pair of women, as Mari Stone moves 3rd behind Laura Holmes.

Bonus Team: Bolton, 10 mins v Man Utd. Would it surprise you learn that no-one, not even the few Bolton fans, predicted this! No one picked the 24 pts on offer (then again, it would have deserved a lot more than 24 pts!). 33 of us had Man City to score first. Alas, their goal came 19 seconds after Anelka's. Arsenal were the most popular choice (102)

Week 13: Spurs' newest fan!

Oi vey!, that was an interesting weekend! Back to the Premiership then and what a high scoring week we had. Over 20 people scored 200+ and anything less that 100 was pretty ordinary. Nick Scraggs had a Steve Mclaren of a week as his 282 pts won him the £50 and pushed him up to the top of the leaderboard. He has his bonus team choice to thank as Matt Crole Rees would have won otherwise - then again, that's what it's for there! Tim Collieu, Ian Greenwood and Richard Norris also move into closer contention with excellent scores. ATB, Ciro.

Bonus Team: Aston Villa, 11 mins v Birmingham. 32 people went for them (good call!) and each scored an extra 44 pts each. Spurs were actually the most popular choice - 78 of you went for them!

Congratulations to my cousin, Jon Crossick who had a beautiful son, Max Louis, on Friday 16th. As you can see, Max is already a Spurs devotee. Welcome to a life of football misery Max! Cheers, David

Week 12: Points = prizes

One of those weeks where so many pts were redistributed in injury time! If you had wins for Man Utd and West Ham, or a draw at Goodison Park, you will be cursing your luck! It has certainly led to a big shake up at the top of the league. Mick Delaney lasts one week before being finding himself back in 14th, whilst Justin Duke and Daniel Kenton move into 2nd and 3rd respectively. It must be Ladies week though as Laura Holmes now leads after another consistently good week (helped by a correct bonus choice too). It's always good to see a woman on top and another, Marie Stone, is perhaps the week's most impressive mover, going from 36th to 8th after a big 200+ week. As for the £50, that goes to Muncher Rose after a great score of 253. Well done to you mate. It's an odd name and perhaps best that we don't know how you got it!

Bonus Team: Portsmouth, 8 mins v Newcastle. Not content with that, they went and scored the 2nd fastest too..and nearly the 3rd! Not surprisingly, they were not the most popular choice (83 of us went for Aston Villa) but 20 of you still got this right and gained 44 valuable pts in the process.

Pro Evolution Soccer Winners: Thanks again to Jon Murphy at Konami for offering these as prizes. The top 20 this week (below) all win a copy in their desired format. Ok, so I know my name is in there (ironically due to a 1-1 prediction at Upton Park that I didn't want!) but as dodgy as that might look I can assure you that I send my scores to 3 people (I have side bets with) each week so they can be vouched for! And seeing as I'm about as much use at Pro Evolution Soccer as a savloy in a Kibbutz, I've decided that the person who came 21st this week should win my copy...so that's a nice bonus for Iain Baker! Atb, Ciro
