Week 32: Roy says: Chasing after Referees is not very nice at all!

Despite the Big 4 all winning, no-one managed over 200 pts this week. In fact, the winning score this week was exactly the same as last week's -170. But the big difference for Jeff Richardson, is that he chose the perfect time to hit form (or get lucky?) as he not only wins £50, but the Nitendo Wii console and a copy Pro Evolution Soccer to play on it. All I know about him is that he works for BT, so making money must come naturally to him! :) But he did get 9/10 predictions correct, with only the result of Spurs v Newcastle preventing a clean sweep - so a deserved winner then. Had Newcastle not scored their 4th goal at Spurs, this week's winners would have been Jonny Wilkes and Robbie Williams! Well done Jeff and enjoy the game! Thanks once again to Jon at Konami for providing such a great prize.

Meanwhile, with 6 weeks left of the season, we have another new leader. Andy Leck has been steadily climbing the table for weeks and has now has top spot, and a 55 pts cushion to protect over Matthew Jenns. Paul Barnard also continues to improve and is upto 3rd, but it could be a very costly week for ex leader Laura, who now risks falling out of the money paying positions (top 7) alltogether. Still plenty of pts to fight over, but I'd be surprised if anyone outside of the top 6 wins the title now.

Bonus Team: Chelsea, 6 mins v Middlesbrough. It's the Blues for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, and 20 extra points (the minimum) go to 27 players. Once again, the majority if you (76) went for Derby's opponents - this week being Fulham, who unfortunately seemed condemned to join them in the Championship.

All the Best, Ciro

Week 31: Ronaldo and Owen both on target!

Fancy a Wii?: How appropriate that both the cover boys for Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 should score this weekend (then again, when was the last time Ronaldo didn't score?!). I'm sure you've all seen my Week 32 email saying that the winner of week 32 will win a copy of the game, which is now available on Wii + a console to play it on! So make sure you get those scores in!

Week 31: Easter is a time for reflection (Hope you all had a good one!). Perhaps Javier Mascherano has now realised that he should keep his mouth shut in future, whilst Avram Grant may even have twigged that playing Drogba and Anelka up front together is a good idea! Meanwhile, we surely all knew that Keegan's first win would come on Easter Sunday?! Back to our league and after a tough week, I had a feeling a change in leader was on its way, and so it has proved. Well done to Laura for brilliantly holding off the boys since January, and now let's see how new leader, Matthew Jenns, copes with the pressure, especially as his lead over the ever improving Andy Leck is just one point! Of the chasing pack, 6th placed Paul Barnard has the best week, and it's really wide open again.

Jon Griffin wins this week's £50 with a good score of 170 (the 3rd lowest this season), though hard luck to David Romain, who would have won but for the bonus pts. Jon - this will pay for 2 buy-ins at the next poker night!

Bonus Team: Newcastle, 6 mins v Fulham. A couple of months ago I think the majority of people might have chosen the Magpies to score quickly in this fixture. But even most of you Geordie's didn't fancy Kev's boys and only 26 of you chose them, each scoring 28 extra pts. 60 of you went for Middlesbrough, and 11 of you even went for Derby! (including Lord Lucan, Bin Laden and Elvis)

Predictions Cup - Last 32: Below are the latest results. Well done to our 16 winners, who will meet in Week 33 for a quarter place. Biggest win was in the Cox derby as Philip beat Darren 120 to -20. And just when I thought a league and cup double wasn't on the cards, Andy Leck (2nd in the league) has made the last 16 of the Cup. Dan Skipp and Peter Barrett could also conceivably do the double, but would really need to motor in the league. Meanwhile, Cheryl Huston is now flying the lone flag for the women!

ATB, Ciro

Week 30: Bring on Super Sunday!

A few killer scores this week caught many of us out, especially those of us who went for the "predictable" 1-0 Chelsea win at Spurs! Laura has held onto her lead for another week, but the hoards really are massing now, with just about everyone taking a chunk out of her lead (now down to 18). The top 6 remain unchanged but 4th placed Andy Leck really makes up some ground with his 190 pt haul. 5 of you managed 200+, and best of those was Hoops fan, Mark Edwards, who wins this week's £50 with a score of 228. Hard Luck to Cliff Dennis with 223. Don't forget to return Week 31 by Saturday. I'm off to the Bridge on Sunday. I can't predict that one, but I might have a bet on there being 22 bookings! As long as Ashley Cole gets laid out, I'll be happy! Happy Easter, Ciro. (Congratulations to Michael Rakison - my father - for coming in 4th this week. David Berlin, he's coming for you! David R)

Bonus Team: Chelsea, 3 mins v Spurs. Only 3 people picked up the 28 pts available. Well done to Gordon Dickson, Carol Kain & Amar Dhayakter. The 3 people who had Reading must have been cursing Didier Drobga last night, as he cost them 52 pts. 123 of you had Man Utd to score first at Derby.

Minileague Update: The table below is based on which leaders have the biggest lead. I think it's fair to say that Laura at HMV, Matt at Links Plus, James at BT, Matthew at Brooklands and Paul at Devonshires look done and dusted (prove me wrong by all means!). The other leads can all be retrieved, especially in the case of the PR & Marketing league where only 14 pts separate Richie and Yad (I amazed those PR & marketing people find the time to send their scores, I really am!)
