Week 11: Vaarwel Jol, Hola Ramos!

Aside from the games at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford, this was a pretty tough week to call. Nevertheless, we still saw some good scoring and 3 players even managed over 200 pts. Well done to Dave Colosimo, David Lee and especially Robin Sellars, who wins this week's £50 with a score of 209. He would have done even better but went for glory with 2-1 win for Man City at Chelsea - losing 21 pts for that game! Matt Foote's lead at the top is short lived and he is replaced by Mick Delaney whilst Nick Scraggs and Rob Parker from WH Smith swap places to lie 3rd and 4th, which might help liven up their office in the next few weeks. An excellent score by Laura Holmes sees her move up to 6th, making her our highest placed woman.

Bonus team: Manchester Utd, 3 mins v Middlesbrough. An easy one this week so only 20 pts available. Still, they all count and 81 players (the most popular choice this week - Everton were 2nd) took advantage of them

Week 12 means extra prizes!

Here's a chance to win a wonderful bonus prize this week! One of our players, Jon Murphy at Konami, has kindly agreed to give 20 copies of the brilliant, recently launched, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 to Premiership Predictions. So I've decided to give them to the top 20 scorers in Week 12. That means that even if you're floundering at the bottom of the league, you have just as much chance as anyone to win one of the games (in theory!). Versions available are PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Check out http://uk.gs.konami-europe.com/ for a demo! Good Luck! Ciro

Week 10: What can you see from space?!

A double whammy for Matt Foote this week. Not only does he wins the £50 with a great score of 260 (he got 3 spot on away wins @ 50pts each) but he moves from 15th to the top of the league in the process - good work mate! Tho other good moves see Bobby Reeve, Philip Ashman and Andrew Savage move into 10th, 11th and 12th respectively after posting excellent scores, whilst Richie Cullinan's 244 puts him right into contention too. An interesting week for me. I met Russian cosmonaut Yuri Plasticpitchski yesterday who had just touched down after orbiting the world for 2 years. I asked him if it was true that you could see the Great Wall of China from space and he said that was actually a myth. The only thing he claims to have seen in that time was Jamie Carragher's fall and submission on Joleon Lescott on Saturday. 249 of us had a draw for the Merseyside derby - thankyou Mr Clattenberg!

Bonus Team: Chelsea, 8 mins v Middlesbrough. This is the first time in yonks that Chelsea have scored first and that is reflected in the fact that only 8 players took advantage of the 28 pts available. Arsenal were the most popular choice with 77 players going for them

Minileagues: Check out the updated Minileague League below, which David has kindly posted. It seems Jon Cuff's All Stars are now the boys to beat

Week 11 is due by Saturday! Good luck, Ciro

Week 9: Nothing but rugby for two weeks

There were 7 fairly predictable home wins this week, so there were always going to be lots of high scores - 7 over 200 in fact. Only Spurs' draw at Anfield would have cost most of us some pts. I'm not surprised to see that someone has finally got 10/10 this season. Its happens every now and then and its one of those occasions you wish you'd gone down to Ladbrokes. Mark Baxter is the man who obliges and wins a well deserved £50 for his 247 pts (the same winning score as last week) You can see his predictions in the blog by clicking on the Weekly Winner link if you're interested!

Peter Russian steps up from no.2 spot to go top this week and both he and Danny Collington have now broken the 1000 pt barrier after 9 weeks (so well over 100 pts a week average). Good moves from Ian Dennis, Daniel Kenton and Ian Best, whilst Gary Mabbutt's 211 sees him moves nearly 50 places up the league

BONUS TEAM: Arsenal, 7 mins v Sunderland. No surprises then and the minimum 20 pts to 77 players..the most popular choice this week (next most popular was Man City with 57..and they scored the next fastest goal..makes sense I suppose!)

NB - Just a reminder that Week 10 games will be sent out next week due to the International matches

Take care, Ciro

Week 8: Goals galore

Funnily enough, no-one had 7-4 to Pompey this week though 11 of you did have a 0-0 draw there, and lost 33 pts just for that fixture. Then again, only 2 people (not sure who) who predicted a 3-2 win managed a positive score of 2 pts for that game! The Spurs game was another that would have hit many of you hard. Having said that, it was still a high scoring week with 10 of you scoring 200+ and Scott Bagnall's 247 was the 2nd highest winning score this season so far..well done mate. Danny Collington has extended his lead at the top and is the first leader to be top 2 weeks running. The best move behind him sees Justin Duke go from 19th to 3rd, whilst Tim Collieu moves into the top 20 from 89th after coming 2nd this week

BONUS TEAM: Everton, 6 mins and 21 seconds v Middlesboro. 24 pts to 27 players. I don't normally put in the number of seconds, but seeing as 61 of you (the highest amount this week) had Portsmouth to score first, I thought it might be a good idea! That's because Pompey scored in 6 mins and 25 seconds - I don't think its ever been that close!
