Week 7: Do you know the way to sack Jose? (couldn't resist it - David R)

Well, what a week this has been! Probably just well that Jose wasn't in charge for the Utd game as I think the refereeing would have finished him off anyway! Still, it all goes around I suppose. Also a pretty big week here as the top of the table has taken on a completely different look, with only two of last week's top 10 managing to stay there. Danny Collington is our new leader, with Eddy Edwards (no, not that one!) and Peter Russian now in pursuit. Last week's leader, Bobby Reeve, suffered a minus score, as did many others in what was a pretty tough week. Our 7th £50 weekly winner is Eamonn Newell and seeing as his score of 174 was achieved without the aid of bonus pts, it was fully deserved

BONUS TEAM: Sunderland, 2 minutes v Middlesbrough. The full 60 pts were available again here, so well done to the 36 of you that got this right. Just to clear things up, their goal was scored in 75 seconds, whilst Newcastle scored in 115 v West Ham. You were only 40 seconds out if you had the Magpies, but then again they beat my boys, so tough luck! Not surprisingly Arsenal were the most popular choice, with 142 of you going for them

FAMILY TIES: There are a lot of personal family duels going on here, especially between coupes. So just for this week, here's a quick look at how the battle of the sexes is going, and its not good news for the ladies - 6-3 down! (sorry if there are more of you, these are the only couples I know of!)

Week 6 Scores worse than Darren Bent's shooting

A pretty tough week, especially if you predicted lots of goals - there were only 16 this week, That's why 100+ was a pretty good score and why Matthew Flower's 180 was an excellent winning total - £50 to a happy Rams fan. Hard luck to Ian Smith who would have probably won if Matthew hadn't scored 52 extra points for the Fulham bonus goal. Bobby Reeve is our new overall leader and is 17 pts clear of last week ';s leader, Nick Scraggs. Rob Parker, Danny Collington and Allan McCullagh all move closer to the top, though this week's biggest move is from Neil Dowling, up 102 places to 20th.

BONUS TEAM: Fulham, 11 mins v Wigan. 52 pts to 30 players. Pretty surprised that a goal in 11 minutes would win this, but even more so that 30 of you would go for a struggling Fulham team against a side with a very good defensive record this season! For the record, Newcastle were easily the most popular choice - 127 of you had them!

CHECK THIS OUT: Just a quickie to say that if you love your football stats (and esp if you like a flutter) one of our players, Leon Pidgeon, has created an amazing site you should check out: http://www.simplesoccerstats.com. It looks great and you might even want to use it to figure out your Week 7 results!

MINILEAGUES: Once again, I've worked out how all the minileagues are doing (including the new ones) and you can see below that the boys and girl from WH Smith are not just good at selling stationary and stuff!

Cheers, Ciro

Week 5: And no "real" footy for two weeks!

Some very surprising results this week, so the average score was much lower than week 4. The most popular correct prediction was Everton's 2-1 win at Bolton but well done to the one person who had Villa to win 2-0 and the other who had the 3-3 at Craven Cottage. You know who you are....but I don't! No-one managed 200+, but 2 players came close on 188. There can only be one winner each week as it is decided on count back (i.e, most spot on scores, then correct scores etc..) so Nick Moorhouse takes this weeks £50. Well done to you and Hard Luck to broadcaster supreme, Martin Kelner, who could not have come any closer! At least you move up the league mate, as does our new leader Nick Scraggs, 5Live commentator Ian Dennis and Mercury Music Prize judge Gordon Dickson (am I allowed to say that?!)

Bonus Team: West Ham, 6 mins v Reading. 30 of you had more faith in the Hammers than me and scored a valuable extra 52 pts each. Not surprisingly, the most popular choice was Liverpool - 130 of us had them!

Minileagues: I've done a bit of rejigging to get more of you into minileagues and you will notice there are now some new ones. Sorry, if you're still not in one, I'll try and sort something out. If you think you qualify for an existing minileague pls let me know - also If you work in IT let me know we could have a nerd, sorry IT minileague, as long as there are enough of you :)

ALSO - I have saved the minileague files differently so now hopefully they will load more quickly and you should all see your names on there

Atb, Ciro
