Ever since I saw him play at Upton Park about a stone overweight, I've always been a big fan of Carlos Tevez, but he has gone down in my estimations this week - Greed is killing this beautiful game and he has let his head be ruled by his slimey agent/manager/owner/leech Kia Joorabchian, a disgrace who should be kicked out the game. And it can't help that he looks like Andrew Lloyd Webber's lovechild
And while I'm having a rant, can anyone tell me how 35 year old David Beckham has got a lifetime achievement award at the SPOTY? He's now up there with Ferguson, Best, Charlton and Pele apparently. He may be a nice bloke, but are we talking about the same player who let England down in 3 World Cups, left top flight European football to try and break into Hollywood, and was the figurehead for a World Cup bid that got 2 votes? Just goes to show what being Prince William's new best mate can do for you. You can be sure he'll have front row seats at the wedding in return. I'm really in the Xmas spirit this year as you can see!
Only 3 games played then, and it wouldn't have been a disaster to sit Week 18 out as nearly half of you posted a minus score. I was expecting something like a 20 way tie for first place but as usual, there is always someone who manages to go a little bit further and this week it was James Newbury, whose 2 spot on results included an impressive 2-1 prediction for Everton last night. This helped him to shade out Alex Kemp by 6 pts. Despite the fact that there was a 1/6 chance of getting the bonus this week, only 6 people managed it - and none of them were in the top 200. Few points to play for them, but Stuart's lead had been trimmed and every point will count come the end of the season.
Once again..have a Great Xmas...and remember to get all the Xmas Weeks in, starting with the Boxing Day Games. Atb, Ciro
