And so Berbatov scores the first hat trick for Utd v Liverpool in over 60 years. One thing I did predict is that he would have a great season. After all, he is the only quality striker who had the summer off! And it seems controversy follows Arsenal wherever they go. In a week of more shocking decisions (esp at Everton and Bllackburn), when are the authorities going to realise that timekeeping should be taken out of the hands of refs? - They have enough on their plate and don't do the that very well as it is! Or there is a simple rule that works in rugby and leaves no room for doubt: Once injury time has run out, the game can only end when the ball goes off the field of play. When will the idiots who makes the rules leave the 1960's behind?!
Another high scoring week and a clear winning score by Kelly Long (with 5 spot on scores) sees him win this week's top prize - well done. Had Rosicky converted that penalty, it would have been a score of 320+. Hats off again to out leader Declan's Shortiss. Yet another excellent score sees him pull out a 190 pts lead over Peter Beardsley in 2nd. Dec is averaging 190 per week so far. I've never known anyone to start the season so well. Either he is just amazing at this (and is hopefully clobbering his local Bookie) or he has invented a time machine!
Needless to say that over 40% of you predicted Chelsea would score the quickest goal this week. This is a record. Only the minimum 20 pts available but in retrospect, pretty obvious! Atb, Ciro
