You can keep you Fergusons, Gerrards and Giggses (sentiment is not a good enough excuse for Player of the year imo). For me it's Tony Pulis. He has used what was available to him brilliantly and I don't think I have ever heard him whinge once on MOTD when things weren't going his way. Gianfranco Zola isn't far off. The respect he shows for officials is very refreshing and he plays football the right way. Player-wise, I'd go for Carlos Tevez. He has won United so many crucial points and is a class act. Every bit as good as Ronaldo and Rooney, but a better person. I hope he leaves Old Trafford and joins a club where he is truly appreciated and allowed to be playmaker - and where he isn't mainly praised for his "hard work". Come home Carlos!
Meanwhile, for the 2nd week running, 2 players have scored the same pts and we have a winner based on the most "spot on" scores. So well done to Robin Sellars, and very hard luck to Susan Hansen. She got more results "correct", but alas only 1 was "spot on" to Robin's 3. Two more weeks to go after this, and still all to play for up front. Lino Carbosiero is the highest scorer amongst the leaders and closes the gap on Duncan. it will be interesting to see if any of the top guys take some chances in Week 37 - where some of the games look pretty predictable - but what do I know! Atb, Ciro
THE PES CUP
CONGRATULATIONS to Matt Skelding, who wins the PES Cup. In the end, the Final was a procession as he beat Richard Webb by 183 to 50 to take home a Wii console and a copy of the game, whilst Richard will receive a selection of games from our sponsors Konami. There's even a copy of PES for our losing semi-finalists, Tim Collieu and Vinno Brimacombe. Well done to you all and thanks again to Konami for putting the prizes up.
